MRI second try

100000% better!  I so recommend an open MRI vs the tomb of death. I had two techs who made it so comfy and made my room purple!!! PURPLE!!!! Still loud and close but having those sides opened made such a difference.
I had to get a contrast but the really cool thing is they let John see behind the glass and see this dark spot. Just glad it is over but if this has to happen again, I'm going back to Fairlane. Definitely recommend it. Plus I DID take 2 xanax. :)
Anywho, now to wait to see Dr Mott on Monday! I feel so much more at ease.  Ahhh :)

In case you were wondering, this is at Fairlane Henry Ford and it was about 30 minutes from the house.  Still trying to type while being under the influence of 2 Xanax.  Saturday was the best time since there isn't a barrage of people as well.  Oh I also had ear plugs and headphones (no music) to mute the loud thumping.  Just so relieved it is over and I can go forward. :)  YAY!

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
