Morning ~

This morning is a rough one!  Everything on me hurts or feels like I was on a rollercoaster!  Starting from the top....
  • Shoulders ~ stiff
  • Hands ~ sore but I think that is because I slept clinched fist.  
  • Hips ~ sore/achy
  • Knees ~ stiff
  • Feet ~ I have feet? 
I am so looking forward to my neurologist appointment on Friday.  Hoping I wont have to wait too long for results.  I am just wondering what they can do for me, if they can.  I may have this for the rest of my life which really sucks!

On another note, starting today I am going to be so busy!  I have to be up at school today and tomorrow for Deaf Celebration up at OCC-HL.  Not just to get hours in but to be informed as well.  Tonight's presentation is about Audism and tomorrow is about Deaf/Blind communication.  Both sound very interesting.  Plus I want to try to make it up to the church that has interpretation for the Deaf @ 9am.  Just depends on how late we stay out on Saturday. 

I also have my Lupus walk on Saturday which I hope to remember to bring my camera. Fun times!  I am so thrilled that people donated way beyond my expectations!  I am over $100 of my goal!  I feel so blessed!  Now if I can just get rid of this pain I will be all set! 

Anywho, I will definitely blog on this weekend and sign as well!  Diligent practice makes it stick! :)

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
