September ~ The Birthday Month has commenced!

I love my birthday, especially I dedicated the whole month to celebrate!  How I see it, why should I try to spread myself thin if friends want to do something special on that ONE day.  Now they have 30!  YES!

So far I have the Renaissance Festival on the 10th with Stacy.  Also, she is walking with me on my Lupus walk on the 24th (my birthday!).  I received a 10$ gift card from Kohls (yes!) and a free coffee from Biggby!  The smallest acts of remembrance is always welcomed!

My birthday month started off with camping at Sleepy Hollow.  Granted it was digustingly hot but with great friends, who cares!  We all had fun laughing and talking.  That's what it is about... being together and sharing moments, creating memories.

I also get my feet tested this month to see what is going on.  Hoping to get some kind of idea and maybe a way to help gain my feet back.  I have gained so much weight but I am going to use my dad's floor bike to get moving.

Other than the above, just looking forward to a fun month for me.

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
