Renaissance Festival 2011

Stacy and I went to the Renaissance Festival today. I was there to watch a couple of the shows interpreted and just have a good time with my bestie! Anywho, Stacy has never been to the Ren Festival so I had to get her familiar with Ded Bob and the Wenches (my two favorites!). I also got to see a couple of new shows that the anmes names escape me for the moment. I will have to look them up and update this blog.

The interpreters were awesome! Their facial expressions and body language really got the message across to what the show was trying to say to their audience! I really enjoyed how it all tied together. There was this one show that had three performers and one interpreter while another had two performers and each had an interpreter. I guess it was a preference.

Anywho, here are a few pictures from today. Mostly I took some videos to re-watch the interpreters do their 'thang'.

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
