The pup in motion....

I know this picture has nothing to do with anything but she is just being a cute pup.

CK was good. Kelly got a cramp in her calf so Joelle took over. Still sweated my heinie off. We did intervals so everything was not neglected.
It was intense as usual. Sweaty... ew!! I am going to measure myself tomorrow to see if there are any results. I refuse to weigh!

Today was Piper's first day all by herself. My IL have been coming by everyday to let her out for a bit so she can run and do her dog things. Right now she is throwing her sheep squeaky all over the room. Overall, she did very well. I expected to put her blankie in the wash and it was a minor smelly. I expected that. But she did so good!!! John is teaching her to ring the bell to go out. She has been doing that since I arrived home from work. I am waiting for him to come home so I can shower and relax a bit. I feel bad to stick her in the crate especially being stuck in there all day. He can spend some quality time with her.

Piper has her first vet appointment on March 3rd at ED animal hospital. She is also doing much better at bedtime (knock on wood). We spend some quiet time in her room with the lights off so she knows it is quiet time. She only wakes up to go outside and that is about 3 hours into the night. She has been getting so much better in these past few days. I am proud of my little pup! We brought her over to my folks house and she played with Kris. Kris just grumbled at her while Piper went after her earflaps and feet. She let out this squeaky bark. That was probably the first time we heard her being that vocal.

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
