Seven Days Left!!!!

I am in the homestretch!!!  I cannot wait for all of this to be done and my body can get back to doing its normal things!  I am so done with the horrible bowel movements, painful urination, sleeping what feels like 24 hours a day.  Just want to live my life again.

I am grateful, though, that my Lupus has taken a backseat while I was undergoing all this.  I don't know how I could have handle dealing with internal problems and then my joints not working.  So utterly grateful!

Anywho, I have Monday thru Thursday for external and then on Thursday, I get 'fitted' for my internal treatment.  Thankfully, those will happen on September 4th, 9th, and 11th.  Then after all that, we are off to camping.  I am hoping my bowels are nice to me during that time.

I did get a picture of Tara and Kathleen (my favorite Techs at HF) today.  I am so happy I got to get one with them.  They are the best!!!!

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
