Another Day, Another Picture

Killer dog! This is Piper's favorite toys. I think its a quail but it sounds like a goose. We put all of her toys on top of her crate and this is the one that she wants all the time, especially in the morning. She is getting her growth spurts here and there. We weighed her at my folks house last weekend and she was 16.6lbs. At the vet's, two weeks ago, she was just over 12 lbs. She goes back this Saturday to get her vaccination.
I went to class tonight after a week hiatus. It was difficult but felt great. I was missed. Shocked me, I didnt think anyone noticed I wasnt there, but Kelly did. We did lots of kicks (fronts and sides) and the ab work was a killer! It felt great and I feel a little bit better too. Still coughing a bit but I am ok. Anywho, let you know if the pup is over her bronchitis when we see the vet this weekend. :)

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
