August happenings

Good Day to all! There are a few things going on this month that I wanted to share.

First, and foremost, John and I will be sharing our 1st wedding anniversary this Saturday. This will be exciting and fun. We have come a long way with adjusting and living a new life together. My folks will be celebrating their 47th on the 6th. I also started back on my affirmations to help cope with past issues and to help me move on and live in the NOW. I also have to go to the dermi for another blood test this weekend. Hopefully all will go well. Tatiana has Strabismus and will go to the hospital on the 20th to help her out. Poor little thing is almost 11 weeks old and has an eye problem. Please keep her in your thoughts. When I hear the outcome or news, I will pass it along. I started a MySpace account last night. I am not sure how to work around this yet but this should be fun. Piper is still lengthy and hasnt gained much weight but she is an active pup.

Other than that, things are going ok. I will post more when more things do happen, as always but just wanted to get updated with everything.

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
