This may be your last chance

Just heard on the news last night that the Detroit Zoo may be closing due to Detroit City council and good ol' Kwame. These two political "monarchs" never can agree on anything. Now their childish game is going to cost everyone this great place to see animals in their "natural" habitat. I am disappointed in this decision and glad I had a chance to go twice last year. This Zoo will be dearly missed and the citizens of Detroit will again have something taken away. Should of seen this coming when they closed the Belle Isle Aquarium. I am hoping to hear good news about this as the days go by but this city is run by a bunch of greedy SOB's. Good job, Kwame and Council members.... What's next to go?

I read about that the other day, what a shame that they are closing that zoo. Such a great place to take the kids to visit. I remember taking our three and the peacocks just runnin bout the zoo like they owned it. Oh the fond memories that other's will not be able to have if they close that zoo. Damn detroit and their idiotic petty arguements. Mebe the state will chime in and take the reins of the zoo and show them damm asses how to run a zoo proper. =)

We should have known this was coming when they shipped out the two elephants...somethin was afoot back then, i think the zoo knew they were in trouble and needed to find homes for the two largest animals there.

Well sad thing is we will probably not be able to get back to see it one last time. Oh well lets keep our fingers crossed that someone steps in and takes that zoo out of detroit and change that name on the water tower to something more respectable.

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
