WOW!  What a super busy and fun Christmas season this was!
SANTA!
 A couple of the cousins met up at HofBrau Bar in Utica since there wasn't a family Christmas Party.

Christmas Eve, John had to work a half the day but then we gathered up our stuff and went to his folks's house for dinner.  It's amazing how fast the kids are growing!  This year, the kids gave gifts too.  It was so nice and unexpected!

Christmas Day, our boys's stocking were filled with treats and a yummy bone!  Jacob got a ball and Zeke, a squeaker toy.  After we exchanged our gifts, we went over to my folks' house and had dinner.  This was the first year my mom did a dinner.  It was nice to see my older siblings since we are so busy with our lives.  Also, Donna and her family are up for the week.  They will be leaving NYE day since they have a 12 hour drive back to Alabama.

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
