December Doings....

Wow... 2007 is almost gone! I still cannot believe it! Anywho, things that are happening for this month...
Birthdays ~
  • Becca's hubby (David) will be 39 on the 1st
  • Piper Jo will be 1 on the 10th (unbelieveable)
  • My neice, Nicole will be 10 on the 21st
  • Jennifer's hubby (Joe) will be 43 on the 28th.
Of course Christmas which falls on a Tuesday this year. Sporting events, John and I are going to a double header on the 22nd at the Palace (MSU v Texas and OU v Oregon). Also the MCB on the 26th which will be Purdue v CMU. Televised will be MSU v Boston College in the Champs bowl on the 28th. Busy month as usual for the holidays. This year we are going to my folks' on Eve and his folks on Christmas Day. Hoping we can do Midnight mass again this year at St. Germaine since we wont be at my folks for that long. Those two days are usually full of activity. I am so glad I have the week off for shut down.

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
