Some Sadness and Some Gladness

First the Sadness...
My two finches, Alpha and Zeta, died Saturday(12-15-07). They were both found dead when I came home from my parents house. I couldnt bring myself to just tossing them in the garbage so we buried them in our backyard. They have been very vocal birds and so nice to hear in the morning! Rest in peace you two... I will miss you.

Now the gladness...
Introducing Bobo. I got him today and he is about 4 to 5 months old. He has lots of bars on his head which shows his youngness. I was watching him with the others and he was so playful. Right now he is just hanging and just getting used to his surroundings. I am hoping I can get him to bond to us so that he can play outside the cage. Why Bobo? That is a character on the Simpsons...actually the teddy bear that used to be Mr. Burns and tried to buy off Maggie to give the bear back. So here's Bobo...

awww I'm sorry for your loss =(. We did the same when Sugar died she's buried in the old house's yard.

As for the new edition, you'll love your keete..AJ's still kickin after his mysterious death of his gf. But he chatters away and keeps Bubba company (yup she's still around too..she now has learned to say her name if she hears people yelling) LOL.

I remember when I was a child we had a pigeon and he had cancer on his feet.I am so sorry.
And I hope this new bird is as adorable as your previous bird!

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
