Last Month of 2008

Wowee! Where did the time go? The Christmas season is upon us! Zroom! Anywho, here's a snipet of whats up....

My Dad ~ He is coming home this Tuesday (12/2). It really opens my eyes on how the hosptials and nursing homes treat stroke patients. And the insurance! Just goes back to my belief on how much I loathe any insurance company. They pretty much have you by the 'balls'. But at least he will recover at home, HIS HOME.

Car ~ I did get my car back about a few weeks ago. Now I have to go to court as a witness on 12/4. I think the kid is trying to get his careless driving ticket knocked down to a lesser charge. This should prove interesting. hahaha

Other news ~
  • Bobo has a new friend. We got another budgie about a week ago. Her name is Jojo and she is green and yellow (for the moment). She is chirping up a storm and the two are bonding very well.
  • For all you people who keep asking about kids... NO. If it happens, I will blog it and you will know, ok?
  • My choir at church has been going fantastic! I am also thinking about joining the dance company as well. For once in my life, I feel like a part of something and not jsut a body taking up air. The merger for my church will happen July 1, 2009. I am excited about the name (no clue yet) and who will be leading the congregation. I am hoping Fr. Jim will be able to stay.
I think I caught up on everything. Hope everyone has a safe holiday season! :)

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
