2008 Burt Lake Camping Expedition

Ah camping! We left on June 12 to go to Burt Lake (30 miles south of the Mack). We left our site on June 16th. Here are some pictures from our trip.

Our camp site. We arrived about 6pm and the sun was still out!

Stacy and I went to see the Cross in the Woods.

Piper Jo and Chloe playing pretty much the whole time. We found out that Piper isnt much of a morning dog!

One of the many beautiful sunset. This is right off our campsite so we didnt have to go far to get awesome pictures.

The guys bought some ORV stickers and we went "Jeeping". Piper was not exactly thrilled about it but both Jeeps really got filthy!
The pups took a dip after the mudding adventure and then a dog nap.
Packing up the Jeeps on the 16th and our group picture before leaving our site. Had a great time guys! Looking forward to next year!

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
