May Days....

Spring has finally come and I am suffering with a migraine. Ah! :) Ok first we have our events in this month...

May 2nd ~ John is getting Lasik
May 6th ~ My final Exam
May 10th ~ World Lupus day
May 11th ~ Mom Day!
May 12 ~ I see the eye dr to see if I am a candidate
May 30 ~ Deanna & Cassie's Birthday (Krissy's as well)
Now that I am looking at all these dates, it looks like one right after another. Wowwee! I cannot believe how fast the last few months went. That class kept me bustling! :)
So with a new month, I changed my colors and I upgraded my yellbox so that I can accept/deny messages. I have been dealing with spammers so I upgraded. Take that losers! We are going camping up at Burt Lake in June (12 - 16) . They have a place where you can let your dog swim! Hopefully we will have warm weather so we can let Piper J have a good time. Plus this year, we are taking the jeep as well. John is also looking into taking a trip to Texas after turkey day. That is still up in the air since gas prices are just horrible. If we go, that trip will be a week. That just means that I will be doing Cmas shopping early so I dont have to bother with it when I come back. I usually have it done before turkey day so I am not worried about it.
Anywho, here's to May. YAY!

OK here's the poop on the Dermi today.  I saw Dr. Henderson and she is a resident at HF.  I went to see a dermi because of the previous post of my sores on my scalp.   She looked me over and was very concerned with the one I have on top of my scalp.  It's deep and she thought it could turn into a cancerous problem.  I did tell her that is where my previous dermi did the punch biopsy.  Dr. H brought in another dr for a second opinion and that doctor stated that if that wound wasn't closed up by stitches and I have lupus, the wound might not have closed up and healed properly.  So in essence, it made Dr. H feel better that it was the area of the punch biopsy.   So today, as I had a hunch, I was injected with cortisone.  That is something I never will forget but she was a lot better than my previous dermi.  She was gentle and gave me some breaks.  I had injections done to the side areas and my crater on top.  The cortisone ...

My head is going to explode!

Ah the life of a lupie!  So much fun! A few days ago, I left eye started to hurt and I thought it was just typical crappy weather problem.  That started Wednesday.  Long story short... it puffed out and I had a fever of 101. Not a pretty picture at all.  It was a lot worse than this.  Just hated  how I looked and felt, especially with the holidays coming around and the noise. Anywho, went to the family doctor today and she gave me antibiotics (augmentin) and boy those are HUGE pills!  Plus she recommended a saline flush so why not.  So now I'm home and just wanted to update my blog since I haven't in some time.  I have been writing in my journal of my own personal thoughts but I like to keep my medical stuff on here so I can refer back. Ok, I'm going to lay down and sleep this pain off.
